In this episode, I discuss the illusion of moving ourselves forward in time, and how it is an extraneous byproduct of muscle tension. We can achieve mental ease when realizing the truth of how we get from one moment to the next.

For some background, you can listen to Local Anatomy's introductory episode here, and below you will find a description of my work, Mindful Reality, that this audio newsletter addresses.

Thank you for tuning in!

(Mindful Reality is a self-inquiry practice I have developed and presented in my two books, “Body Over Mind: a mindful reality check: attaining psychological freedom by confronting thought with reality,” and “The Myth of Doing: managing guilt, shame, anxiety, regret and self-judgment.” This work combats anxiety, depression and stressful thoughts that stem from worry, self-blame and the belief that we must do something to fix our life. Grounded in what I call our “physical reality,” we learn to counter inner judgment and “should” thoughts with an awareness that we must always be doing whatever we are doing. Negative thoughts that make us feel like we are not living our life correctly are put up against the knowledge that we can each do only the things we are doing in each moment, as anything else is physically impossible. Acceptance, ease of mind, and healing are the goals.)
